This guide provides information and strategies for Tarisland’s Dim Cavern, which is the first story dungeon players will encounter. Note that this is a one-time entry dungeon.

Here is how to enter the Dim Cavern in Tarisland.

Completing the quests “Chieftain’s Son” and “The Mystery of the Black Tower” is necessary to gain access to the Dim Cavern in Tarisland.

Once you have finished and accepted the quests mentioned above, you will have the ability to enter the Dim Cavern dungeon.

Here are some quick tips and strategies for Tarisland’s Dim Cavern dungeon.

The Dim Cavern dungeon in Tarisland is populated by spiders of various sizes, including the boss. Small Sirius and Demon spiders will be encountered upon entering the dungeon, and defeating them is necessary to progress to the boss room.

The boss of the Dim Cavern dungeon in Tarisland is Dacoris the Spider Queen. Dacoris is the first and easiest boss encountered in the game, and she has several attacks that can be easily avoided. After dropping a certain amount of health, Dacoris will enter her second phase.

Boss Skills:

  1. Poison Blade: This skill has a 3-second cast time and deals damage in a fan-shaped area ahead.
  2. Venom: With a 2-second cast time, the spider queen can spit a cloud of venom at a random player, which will leave a cloud of venom at the player’s current position. It deals damage in a radius of 2 meters every second for 20 seconds.
  3. Spider Web Shackles: This skill has a 2-second cast time and summons a spider web to trap and stun the target. Other players can break the Spider Cocoon to eliminate the effect.
  4. Spider Silk Spray: Deals multi-stage damage to all players.
  5. Venom Scatter: The spider queen will spit out venom at different locations on the field, dealing damage to any players hit. It lasts for 3 rounds in total.

In her second phase, she spawns spiderlings that must be eliminated by stepping on them.

Strategies

For ease of understanding, we will divide the strategies for each role since your party members are only NPCs. Dividing the roles will also be helpful for players who use different roles. There will be four general roles.

Tank

As a tank, your main responsibility is to attract the enemy’s attention and absorb their attacks, thereby allowing your allies to remain safe and healthy during both boss fights and battles leading up to them.

In order to reduce the impact of area-of-effect attacks, keep an eye on the positions of your party members and strive to stay mobile during boss fights.

Finally, remember to be mindful of your limitations as a tank. While you should strive to absorb damage on behalf of your allies, you should also maintain a safe distance from the boss when your health levels begin to diminish.

Warrior

Your role in the party will be that of the secondary tank. As a Warrior or Bruiser, you may not have the same level of tankiness as your primary tank counterpart, but you are still quite capable of absorbing some damage while also dealing a significant amount of damage to enemies.

Damage Dealers (Mages and Rangers)

Within the damage dealer role, there are two distinct categories: Skill types and Normal Attack types. These classes are the backbone of any successful party, often dealing the highest amount of damage compared to other classes.

It is important for damage dealers to be constantly mindful of their positioning in battle. Due to their relatively low defenses, they can be quickly taken out by enemy attacks.

While mana management may be less of a concern for Normal Attack damage dealers, it is of utmost importance for mages, who rely heavily on their skills. In order to avoid becoming a liability to your party, make sure to carefully manage your mana and skill usage during battles.

Supports (Healers and Buffers)

Healers and Buffers are essential members of raid parties, responsible for keeping the entire group alive and functioning.

It is vital for these classes to stay away from enemies during fights in order to safely carry out their support duties. Without a reliable healer, even the strongest tanks in a party may not be able to keep the group alive in the most dangerous of dungeons.

Due to the heavy reliance on their skills and mana, healers and support classes must be particularly careful with managing both. Skill cooldowns can be a significant challenge for these classes, so it’s important to prioritize wisely and make the most of every opportunity to use healing and support abilities.
